Description

The foundation of photography is light and the control of light required to make (expose) the intended photograph. Exposure is a key skill in photography and is controlled by only 4 variables: light, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Understanding what these variables do and how they interact with one another leads to a much easier, enjoyable and creative practice, and allows you to use the camera to its fullest potential. This book helps you take control of the process and introduces the Exposure Equation, a method I’ve developed to help visualize the relationships of the exposure variables, and have taught in my classes for over 10 years. This is not the exposure triangle. Includes a short history of photography to increase understanding of the photographic process and five practice exercises. 48 pages, comb bound, dimensions: 9 in x 11 in (22 cm x 28 cm).
